Default My laptop is way to slow HELP!!!!

MY laptop is kind of old and it runs really slow. It is a HP compaq nc6000. I cleared out all unnecessary programs and all the files under downloads or temporary program. I then ran a scan with hijack this and got a lot of stuff i dont really know anything about. I just would like to know what things to fix and get rid of out of the file log. Also any other tips would be helpful. Here is the log from hijack this:

    Hi dbenjami,

    Welcome to Help2Go!

For your safety, we prefer that HJT logs are not posted in the Computer Help forum unless requested by an experienced helper. Anyone could come along and ask you to remove entries who have no idea what they are doing and really mess your computer up.

The following can be safely fixed with HiJackThis. They have either been removed or are infrequently used tasks that can be started manually, if necessary.

Open HiJackThis and click on Do a system scan only. Place a check mark to the left of each of the entries below and click Fix Checked, close HiJackThis, then reboot, then do another system scan and post the log in your next reply.

The following is related to Logitech Quick Cam. It works fine without it but it is needed for the Logitech ImageStudio software to connect to the camera. If you do not use the Logitech ImageStudio software it can be fixed also.

I've never been a big fan of BHO's (Browser Helper Object) and have provided a link for you to review. Once you review you can decide if you would like to remove the following. Same with the toolbars I've listed below the BHO's.

What Is A BHO (Browser Helper Object)?

    O2 - BHO: JetMP3 - {134DA043-566E-4572-82E6-8978D0ED03D8} - C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\jetmp3\ie\jetmp3.dll

    O2 - BHO: Spam Free Search Bar - {26c9e18c-3717-4be1-a225-04e4471f5b6e} - C:\Program Files\blekkotb\blekkoDx.dll

    O2 - BHO: Yontoo Layers - {FD72061E-9FDE-484D-A58A-0BAB4151CAD8} - C:\Program Files\Yontoo Layers Runtime\YontooIEClient.dll

Browser Toolbars - The Good, the Bad and the Unnecessary

    O3 - Toolbar: Blekko search bar - {7d9e1adc-7db1-4eaf-b6c7-7e062074e6be} - C:\Program Files\blekkotb_soc\blekkotb_019X.dll

If you choose to remove the toolbars or BHO's, please follow the paths and remove the folders if found. Itherwise you may leave them:

    C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\jetmp3
    C:\Program Files\blekkotb
    C:\Program Files\blekkotb_soc
    C:\Program Files\Yontoo Layers Runtime

Did you intentionally install the following? If so, leave it running.

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Anti-phishing Domain Advisor] "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Anti-phishing Domain Advisor\visicom_antiphishing.exe"

PC Speed Maximizer is a Registry Cleaner.

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SPMTray] "C:\Program Files\PC Speed Maximizer\SPMTray.exe"

We advise not to use this or any registry cleaner as there have been reports of them clearing out needed registry entries and messing up PCs. In addition, what they do clean up is so small that little or no advantages are noticed.

Modifying registry keys incorrectly can cause Windows instability, or make Windows unbootable. No registry cleaner is completely safe and the potential is ever present to cause more problems than they claim to fix.

Registry cleaners cannot distinguish between good and bad. If you run a registry cleaner, it will delete all those keys which are obsolete and sitting idle; but in reality, those keys may well be needed by some programs or windows at a later time.

Personally I would uninstall the program then delete the folder.

    C:\Program Files\PC Speed Maximizer

Please post a fresh HJT log in your next reply.
If you think you might be infected with malware or have recently cleansed your computer of malware without the help of an expert, please read and follow the instructions in How to Start Removing Viruses and Spyware from your Computer. This can alleviate time consumed in trouble shooting your current computer problems.

If your problem is solved, here's how to say thanks!
