I did it manually....but it still pops up...so I do not allow it to update iTunes....it may be an Apple vs PC thing?

Ummm, speaking of iTunes - do you subscribe to the Department of Homeland Security's US-CERT Cyber Security Bulletin Vulnerability Summaries and happen to see this today? Note iTunes had a bunch of vulnerabilities (only "Medium", but a whole bunch of them) reported on the 13th - and suddenly on the 15th, this new update. Maybe PSI was stuck in the middle somewhere.

To be truthful, I rarely install an update as soon as it becomes available (except for anti-malware definition/signature files), but instead, wait a couple days to let a few million other users install them first then listen up for any "patterns" or the same problem reported by many. However, (1) I am the only user of this computer and (2) I do not participate in risky behavior like illegal file sharing via torrents or P2P sites, illegal gambling or porn sites - places where badguys regularly release their "new" malicious code.
