    Default desktop icons highlighted blue

    Hi All

I recently wanted to copy an item to my desktop from Mozilla so I Clicked 'File' and
'Save Page As' and the Dialogue box came up and asked to 'Save in Desktop' That was
all fine then a message came up and asked if i want to ......I can't remember now!!!!!!
Anyhow it has made changes to my Desktop and highlighted all my icons wording in BLUE.
I have tried to reverse the situation but failed so far....even system restore is not working
and i don't know why either.

Hope to hear from you Whizz Kids with some advice.

    Best regards Cremora

It does depend on the OS....but the solution is usually in the performance options
Also, any web options should be unchecked too

Steps for making Icon Text Transparent.
    1. Click on Start
    1. Choose Control Panel
    2. Click on System Icon
    3. Choose the "Advanced" tab, click "Settings" under "Performance"
    4. Under the "Visual Effects" tab I Chose (checked) Use Drop Shadows for Icon Labels

    OR

    1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
    2. Click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System.
    3. On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Performance.
    4. Click to clear the Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop check box, click Apply, and then click OK two times.
    5. Close Control Panel

    Hi abseh1

Thanks for your advice all is fixed now.
It appears as though you were right on the mark with the 'web options'
I cleared the check mark and rebooted and all is back to normal.
I think my system restore problem was the fact that i had it set to 5% in the settings
as that also seems ok now.

As always i get my issues solved here

    Thanks and regards
