You have 2 Anti virus programs Mcfee and AVG. What one are you going to use? You can't have 2 running. Tell me what one you want to keep.

Oops, well McAfree came pre-installed with my PC and the free trail already ended so I guess I should uninstall it. I'll keep AVG.

    Ok.

Lets remove it and clean up the computer too, it needs it, somewhat out dated. Follow my instructions please.

    First

    1. download the utility http://download.mcafee.com/products/...tches/MCPR.exe
    2. double-click the file MCPR.exe to run it
    3. once the process of deleting McAfee products is over (the removal process may take a minute), the McAfee Cleanup window appears.
    4. click Yes to reboot your computer and to finish the removal process of McAfee products

    Next

    Please remove these programs:

    • Adobe Acrobat - Reader 6.0.2 Update (Version: 6.0.2)
    • Adobe Reader 6.0.1 (Version: 006.000.001)
    • Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_03 (Version: 1.4.2_03)
    • Java 7 Update 13 (Version: 7.0.130)
    • Java Auto Updater (Version: 2.1.9.0)
    • McAfee SiteAdvisor (Version: 3.6.187)
    • Viewpoint Media Player

    Next

Download AdwCleaner from here to your desktop
    Run AdwCleaner and select Delete

Once done it will ask to reboot, allow this
On reboot a log will be produced at C:\ADWCleaner[XX].txt please post it.

    Next

Download and run Junkware Removal Tool

Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.

    • shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator"
the tool will open and start scanning your system
    • please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications
    • on completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open
    • post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message.

In you next reply post the:
    AdWcleaner log.
    Post the JRT.txt log

Sorry I reply so late all the time. I haven't had problems with my audio lately like I use to. Should I continue with the process anyway? I'm currently removing the programs that zep516 listed...

Parker11 could you be more specific regarding the sound driver please? I dont know how to check that in My Computer's properties.

    Hi raf1314,

Yes. Please continue with zep516's instructions. We have a few more tasks that we would like for you to perform. I believe your sound issue was due to the 2 AV's installed and the many programs starting up when you boot your computer. All your resources are being absorbed and your sound was shutting down.

Parker11 is referring to your Audio Driver, though we know that is not the problem since that has been not only eliminated by you as the problem, but by my asking you to rollback the driver as well.

Don't worry about the length of time in between replies. We do have more for you to do. I'd like to contact zep to see if he has any instructions prepared for you before I instruct you further.

    Thank you,

    Donna
