Default G drive missing, and green light is flashing

    I am running Windows XP.
My internal G drive has become invalid.
I am not able to open this drive. The G drive is not present, when I go to My Computer.
A Green light in front of the internal drive is quick-flashing.
It looks, as if my computer is " working".
There is a yellow light, this light is on all the time.
I can see, thar my avast antivirus has stopped.
There is a round ball, that normally is turning, but not at the moment.
How do I get back my G drive?
    Please assist.
    Best regards, John

    Drive Failure ...maybe?
The external Hard Disk has failed. ...you can try a new cable as well

Drives typically have an average 5 year lifespan, some last longer and some can fail much sooner.

Unfortunately, you rarely have any warning, thus the need for backups.

More concerning is the anti virus issue...might need to post in Spyware Help Forum @ H2Go

Refer them to this post...they are busy volunteers so please have patience

    Hi.
I did meet Windows : FIX IT, and did run this.
    Now problem is solved.
Drive is present at "My Computer", and working without any problems.
    Thanks.
    Best regards, John
