    Default Motherboard errors

Hi, please could someone advise? Though I think...(I think?) I may have asked this question before, or something similar, can't quite remember, I'm sorry. Sometimes my computer will freeze, or sometimes it won't get past the boot stage (with the three pretty lights - Windows 7). I've done all the memory checks & HDD checks, and everything is ok, all good. But is it possible to check the motherboard for memory/registry/ problems or if somehow the motherboard has picked up some kind of infection, or would any problem with the motherboard be simply mechanical? Thank you for your time on this. I'm running Windows 7 Home edition, and I have a dual core 64bit processor.

Could be many things....what are you doing when it freezes?

Have you cleaned the tower and fans ?

How is the PSU and fan?

Hi abseh1, thank you for replying. I haven't recently cleaned any fan or PSU, would this honestly make a difference?
