Default Can't play my DVD film?

Hello, please maybe could you help me out? I'm trying to play a DVD film on my system but I can't seem to get it to work? I've gone into 'my computer' & I can see it there, I've attempted to play the DVD but nothing happens. I've tried to go into Windows media player but....nothing!? I'm running windows 8 if this helps in any way? Thank you.

    Hi Bcoharzis,

You should verify that the DVD works at all, the best way, is to try it in another computer first.

Because of licensing and piracy issues, Microsoft removed DVD movie support from W8.
