Default USB ports dont show in device manager and the driver doesnt help

I have a Toshiba L505d-LS5010 laptop with windows 7x64. I recently reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled my OS. After installing all the drivers from Toshibas support website I realized that my USB ports didn't work (don't even have power). So I went back and made sure I downloaded and reinstalled the correct driver which I found here Satellite L505D-LS5010 Support | Toshiba. The driver shows up as an installed program but the ports still don't work and so I checked the device manager and the entire USB section is just not there. I made sure USB's were enabled in the bios and even booted back up to bios defaults and that didn't make any difference. I am at a loss and hope someone out there is a smarter man than me.

    Thanks for the help
