    Default No internet?

Hi...I recently posted a problem regarding an error message that I'm getting, I'm currently waiting for some advice on this. I have additional problems now, I didn't know if I had to start a new thread so I thought I'd better anyway. The problems are, I can't get internet access on a friends laptop, either wireless or cable. The laptop is a Dell Inspiron, running Windows 7. Also, I cannot, for love nor money uninstall Norton Internet security. I've tried everything, it just will not uninstall. I've even tried safe-mode. The main issue is...I absolutely need to get the internet to work......please help....any ideas please. I'm typing this on my own laptop, its my friends laptop that has the problems. Please can you help?????? Thank you

    Hello,

Boot the computer to safe mode with networking and see if it connects there.

Click > Start > shutdown > turn the computer on > now keep tapping the F8 Key > enter the windows advanced boot options menu black screen with white letters > using the arrow key from the list select Safemode with networking. Try connecting here only ---> Google

Let me know if you can connect to Google ?

    Don't surf in this mode!

Hi Zep516.....following your advice & instructions...yes, in 'safe-mode with networking' it will connect to the internet with Google.

In safemode with networking please visit this web site and download the Norton removal tool to the desktop and run it.
