Default Using desktop drive on a laptop

My desktop computer has an internal Blu Ray drive which I would like to attach to my laptop for occasional use. I think it might be possible to do this with this gadget so I can use it as an external drive. Am I right and if so is there anything else I need?

    Thanks

    Hi Grezaldo,

You'll need an external USB DVD-drive enclosure. The one you linked to appears to only be for HDD's and not CD/DVD drives:

Amazon.com: Slim USB 2.0 External CD/DVD Drive Enclosure Case For Laptop Notebook IDE CD+/-RW DVD Burner w/3Ft USB2.0 A to A Extend Cable [ only Case!! ]: Computers & Accessories

Let's see what the other members have to offer. I have only used the enclosures for HDD SATA drives.
