Default May have spyware on another computer

I was trying to help another person attach his router and another object using WIFI -I was unable to do this so he gave me a telephone number for Linksys routers which turned out not to be Linksys company but another one that attaches itself to your computer. They pinged his computer and fixed the problem and then wanted 25 dollars and when I asked the company if they were the ones on the tv news he became angry and told me "I should die" so I hung up and unplugged the person's computer. Now we do not know how to proceed regarding the computer. Would you have any advise as to protecting his computer?

    Hello,

So do you want to see if the company is still attached to the computer ? If so...

Download the version of this tool for your operating system.
Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (64 bit)
Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (32 bit)
and save it to a folder on your computer's Desktop.
Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
    Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please also paste it to your reply.

    Thanks
    Joe
