When I save a picture from the web to my desk top folder, sometimes it saves it in Real Player but won't open. How can I correct this setting. Most everything will open in Corel Photo House without a problem.
    Can you help.
    Thanks

Depending what extension the picture has (.jpg .gif .tif etc) Disassociate* that particular extension in Real Player options.

    Here is my solution.
Download and install the following free programs.
    Irfanview from http://www.gmx.net
    Winamp from http://www.winamp.com
    Quicktime from just about anywhere
On installing irfanview make it the default player and viewer for all formats except mp3,mov,ra and ram and wma files.
On installing winamp make it the default player for MP3 and Audio CD's only.
On installing Quicktime set it to be the default player for mov and qt files only.
This should leave realplayer to only play real player files, Windows Media Playr to play only Windows Media files.
This really is a good way of doing it all.
Whwn ever you want to open a graphic file irfanview will display the picture. You can then resize it, save it anywher, adjust the colors and a few other basic tasks.
