I have downloaded a few programmes from the net and installed them. After installation, upon trying to delete the setup files the computer responded by saying that these setup files were programmes and if I deleted them I would no more be able to run these programmes and edit some documents. So far I have kept these files in a seperate folder. Can I remove these files without doing any harm to windows. I run windows 98 SE.Thanks

But I always get rid of them, u can delete the windows setup files to gain some room.

Run the disk cleanup utlilty. You will find it in the system tools menu (Start>Programs>Accesories>System Tools)
This will delete all tempory files
