I checked one of the message boards I want to post a picture on & it gives directions as follows: . Does this mean that the picture(s) I want to post have to be on a website in order for me to upload them to a message board? If so, how do I go about getting my own home page?

iv never tried this before but im asummin you need to have it uploaded on the web site with the forums on it, or you might be able to link it to your own page, you can make free web sites at http://www.brinkster.com

Unfortunately I cannot see those directions.
There are a number of free web sites although I rarely recommend any.
Check with your ISP. Most allocate web space for their members and in many cases have tools for creating your own web page. This is safer, free of ads and far more secure.
The picture needs to be on your computer to begin with. Most free sites ask that the picture be of a maximum kb size and dimension. You will need some photo enhansment tool to do this.
