When someone sends me an email with a picture attachment, my Outlook Express tells me it can't find a Picture Viewer for PPS files. I'm sure we used to be able to open these type of attachments in the past. We had work done to our computer recently, would this have altered anything?

Pps files are Microsoft Power Point files.
You need either power point (Part of MS Office Pro) or the Power Point viewer which you can download from http://www.microsoft.com
There seems tto be a number of these pps files popping up making me wonder if the file is really a power point file or another type with the same extension.
I would ask the sender to confirm that it is a power point file before opening it. It could be a macro virus.
