I recently installed Windows XP pro onto my laptop, but I want to go back to Win 2000 pro, however it appears that it has been deleted during set up so I can't. There is no uninstall windows XP option in the add/remove programmes, and when I put the win 2000 disk in it says that it the setup option has been dissabled as it is an older version than the version that is running.
    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

You will have to format first, get a win98 boot disk and boot with it, go to a command prompt and run fdisk, then boot with the win2k disk.

If you have XP download the service pack 1. You will find it makes XP run a lot better. As with rolling back I do not think that is passible. XP can be rolled back to 98/ME if insatlled over it.
My poersonal view is that XP is far more stable than 2000, after all it is really and upgrade to 2000 which will be dumped by Microsoft as soon as they can.
