    Every now and again my pc crashes and i take it to the pc Dr and all he has to do is reset the settings (he says that the battery is wareing out,its a old pc)and its fine again but last time he forgot to set/turn on the sound and i now havent any sound.
    Can you tell me how to do it.....

    Hi, um check that the, wires are connected, does the sound card look strange, are there lots of dust in your computer? That should help, the battery may be the problem, if you need extra parts, i reccomend you go to starsurplus.com where its at overstock prices, um.... other than that im not sure i can help you.

    Click Start>Settings>Control Panel Choose Devices. In theat pop up box look under devices for your sound card.
    If it is nt there reinstall the card and drivers.
    If it has a yellw !or? download and reinstall the latest drivers.
    If it is all ok then the problem could be the speakers or wiring.
    Test you system with another set of speakers of headphones.
