    My PC cannot detect the Agfa SnapScan 310 parallel port scanner attached.
    I have followed all the steps in the procedures suggested to no avail.

    The message I get from starting up fotosnap/look is:

    Make sure you installed the necessary drivers for your SCSI board.
    Check all cables and connections and make sure the power switch is
    turned on. Also verify that a unique SCSI ID is assigned to each device
    and that the SCSI chain is terminated at the first and last device on the
    scsi cable.

    Could not find an Agfa scanner on host adapter 0 (ESDI_506)

    AGFA scanners have a poor reputation.
    If you run win2000 or XP they will not work. Last I heard was AGFA were working on a driver for 2000/XP. This model barely works on win98.
    The scanner you have was designed for win 3.1 (dos based) using a scsi card.
