We gave our old computer to our 4 year old and the hard drive is full. I've erased tons of stuff but there is still no room to play her cds. Is it possible to delete the stuff in the hard drive without deleting the operating system files? Thanks. :???:

go to "Control Panel", click "Add or Remove programs", and uninstall the unnecessary programs and the softwares that you haven't touch for a year, it may help you a little! however, if you are not sure what it is, do not uninstall it!

After uninstalling the programmes that you dont need anymore, go and have a look on your windows temp folder. In case you have not already deleted the contents of your temp folder, please check and delete all of its contents . Also remove your internet browsers cache and all the temporary internet files. In some cased these files come to occupy a lot of space. You can also try your systems disc clean up utility. If you are using windows 98, you can go to disc clean up utility by right clicking any drive and selecting tool and then disc cleanup.
