    Default installing word95 update on winxp

    i recently upgraded to a new computer w/xp installed.
    would like to install my word95 software,but it won't install,since there is no word present on the new computer. any way to trick it into installing
    this software?

    I do not believe so, you have the upgrade copy so basically your gonna need an older version of word95 to be able to use your upgrade disk.

    The problem you have is that your copy of word is a 16 bit application.
    If you need word badly there are alternatives and they are free.
