Thread: Update patchs

    Default Update patchs

    Some update patchs were put out this week I downloaded one for Internet Explorer but the one I downloaded for Outlook Express somehow was downloaded in Chinese! should I delete this and start again or will it be ok?

    OS? version of outlook express? what patch?

    The best place for patches relating to any Microsoft product is www.microsoft.com.
    At least this way you know you are getting the right patch in the right language.
    I would not trust any other site.

    Thanks qualserve. I dont know if downloading in another language makes any difference to performance; probably not, I am uninstalling this security patch, and redownloading anyway. Jim.

    Ooops The link from the link went to MS.
    But I did notice that the default language I saw was in Finnish.
    Maybe MS have a problem with that site.

    Thanks whoozhe, well -I did ok then- I got it in Taiwainese Chinese! I must have slipped up, maybe it doesnt matter unless you want to use help, it is all working ok so I left the patch installed. Jim

    adding languages,fonts,plugins,software,registry entries, well anything will make your computer slower
