    Default Shutdown Problem

    My O/S is win 95...H/D 4 Gig...Ram 32 Megs

    Within recent times my computer hangs at the Prompt:

    Please wait while your computer shuts down " My

    question is : How can I solve this and what is the likely cause ?

    Thanks for any imput.

    With windows 95 the cause can be ANYTHING. My suggestion for you is to reinstall. Also i think its time for you to go shopping for a better operating system. Windows 95 is (in my opinion) the least 'fixable' operating system.

    Sutdown problems ususally involve a misbehaving driver or some program that flatly refuses to close.
