    Default IE problems

    I have MS IE 5.5 but for some un known reason nealy all piscure of any sort dont automatically load on web pages, i re-installed windows MEbut to no avail. I have also been trying install IE 6 but it keeps saying that there was an error with the install and that i should close all programs and try again.

    ANY ideas are welcome.

    Try going to Windows Update and download the latest updates from Explorer 5.5
    Also in Tools Options Security Custom - make sure that show pictures is there (Check in your Security - ADVANCED tab also) and that Active X is enabled.

    Click Start>Control Panel> Add/Remove. Look for Internet Explorer and choose add/remove. From the menu choose repair Internet Explorer.
