    Default Spyware (HJT)

    Can you help me, please?
I've had spyware on my computer since 16 May. It has dialled up some expensive phone calls to other ISPs. I've got rid of most of it with Spybot S&D but every time I boot up it tries to connect to the internet, if I cancel it does it again but gives up if I cancel again. Once on-line I run Spybot S&D and it always finds DSO Exploit data source exploit HKEY_USERS\DEFAULT\software\Microsoft\Windows\.......it runs out of space there
and today there were 6 entries VX2/f
I've just run Hijack This and I've attached the scan to this post. I'm reluctant to delete anything as the HJT tutorial warns against it and I've had a trauma already. (I deleted everything that had been created after May 15 and deleted Windows.INI which meant I had to re-install Windows just to get into my machine!)

    Hi

First...The DSO exploit is a glitch in spybot, which will be fixed in a forthcoming update....just ignore it or exclude it from the scan.

    THEN
    For your CWS hijacker...
Please download and run the Shredder <<<< Click Here (run and click "fix")

CWS installs via the byte verifier exploit (Mostly) in M$ JavaVM so just surfing a page with an infected applet can install it with no user participation. So once you’ve run the above, it is vital that you go here, click Scan for updates in the main frame, and download and install all CRITICAL updates recommended.

    THEN
    Download AdAware 6 <<<<<<click here

Before you scan with AdAware, check for updates of the reference file by using the "webupdate".

    Then ........

Make sure the following settings are made and on -------"ON=GREEN"
From main window :Click "Start" then " Activate in-depth scan"

    then......

click "Use custom scanning options>Customize" and have these options on: "Scan within archives" ,"Scan active processes","Scan registry", "Deep scan registry" ,"Scan my IE Favorites for banned URL" and "Scan my host-files"

    then.........

go to settings(the gear on top of AdAware)>Tweak>Scanning engine and tick "Unload recognized processes during scanning" ...........then........"Cleaning engine" and "Let windows remove files in use at next reboot"

then...... click "proceed" to save your settings.

Now to scan it´s just to click the "Scan" button.

When scan is finished, mark everything for removal and get rid of it. .(Right-click the window and choose"select all" from the drop down menu) then press next and then say yes to the prompt, do you want to remove all these entries.

    Then post another hijackthis log

When you post back we'll take out what's left manualy

this is poniente but it won't let me post here!
I've carried out all the instructions and had a few accidents along the way, but now I'm back online here's the HJT log.
The machine is still trying to connect to the internet twice when I boot.

Many thanks for everything so far - to add to my computer woes my house was burgled last Monday so I've not had time to go on-line

I've done everything in your last post, but when I went on-line today, Adaware showed 9 items - 2 registry keys and 7 files. I've quarantined them and run hijackthis producing this scan.
