Default ADSL - Emule (yes i do have a lot of problems)

This problem is (i saw other forums) world-wide. My adsl disconnects when Emule connects. This is getting frustrating bc my provider Skynet's people said to me 'go see a computerspecialist' (what are they?)

    so

    My xp's firewall isn't the problem<
neither is the connection (said skynet)
ADSL uses the only USB now
All the hubs are conf. so xp can't cut the power off to save power.
    no proxy, no router.

    It's all yours.

Check with your ISP It may be doing the dirty work.
Some ISP are paranoid over P2P.

Out of the possible 100 known causes including clashes with Emule's code and some DSL modems, sound and graphics cards it's a wonder it works at all.
My suggestion is DON'T use emule's software.
    Try downloading Shareaza ver 2.
It uses both the Gnutella and Emule/Edonkey networks plus it's own.
Older versions suffered the same fate and I suspect it was still a problem with the Emule network.
With either make sure you upload bandwidth is 1/2 of your available bandwitdth and restict uploads to One Slot.
eg. If your adsl speed is 512/128bps set the P2P to only allow 68bps or less upload bandwidth.
Also restict the number of similtanious downloads.
If you try and exceed your connections capabilities the modem will disconnect.

I had the same problem with shareaza, it just disconnects. Winmx is useless, imesh and kazaa are even more useless.

i tried edonkey2000, max of 40 connections and it seemed to work for a while. but i was wrong, it disconnected again.

i'm tired of it, is there a software problem or a driver problem or whatever?

This is just one of those problems without a clear cut cause.
Many P2P software just dump so much junk on a sysyem.
If you have ran adaware or spybot it may have killed off certain elelments that the P2P require, mainly related to spyware.
If I was you I would be thinking of backing up my data, reformat, start afresh and stick to kazaa Lite K ++ and Shareaza.
They seem to work ok together and neither have spyware.
