    Default Bigger Hard Drive = Fry computer?

    i got a quick question. Would a bigger hard drive fry a old computer? Like for example. A 120 GB hard drive in a computer thats running 500mhz... with 128 mb memory.....

    Not very likely, only if the HD is defective. If it is shorted out could blow the fuse in the power supply.

    lol crap.. i should have worded that better i didnt mean fry it... i meant would it degrade preformance of the computer at all... now or in the long run?

    I would of thought if anything a bigger hard drive would mean better performance. When you have a new computer or newly formatted computer it performs much better and I think this is *partly* due to the fact that there is plenty of free hard drive space for windows use for the swap file etc.

    BTW your avatar gives me a sore head :lol:
