    Default BIOS & Modem

    Hi
i have a Compaq P2 400 with Win98 installed. I installed the puredata satisfaxtion modem 400 with the drivers but can't get a communication with my computer. I installed it in ISA slot. Im not to familar with COM 1 & COM 2 ports but those are the only available in my device manager. Neither of them recognize my modem.
Now the big problem is - i can not enter my BIOS. I have tried the delete, F1, F2, F10, F12 buttons and none will let me enter the BIOS. I've tried to reset the battery but to no avail. How can i configure my modem without going in BIOS?

My thoughts are forget the modem and buy a standard external one.
From what I have read the modem was orginally built by Delrina and had very limited hardware support.
