    Default cant access regedit!!!

    hey everybody....

i decided to attempt to use an older machine we have here as a word processor, but because it was once connected to a T1 line, it is filled with all kinds of bots and such. I ran the usual scans, but I cannot access regedit from Run.....the window pops up but closes about 3 seconds after appearing....I am trying to delete the registry values for norton because after uninstalling it I get error messages upon startup....
if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated....
    thanks again

Best way to remove norton is going to the Norton site and following the removal instructions they have.

    Hi

    Try this :-

    Go to C:\Windows ... right-click Regedit.exe and make a copy of it.

Rename the copy of Regedit.exe to Regedit.com.

Go to Start|Run. Type 'Regedit' and press Return.

    The registry editor should open

    cheers
