    Thank you Stoney,

I had spybot, Ad-aware, CWShredder, NAV. But had not run Panda or Housecall. Have run both of these now. Housecall found TROJ BLAZEFIND.A in doc and settings\owner\local settings\temp directory and I have deleted it. I have seen Steamwhiz recommend to others to dlete everything in this temp directory. I have not done that yet. If need be, does this delete include all subfolders in this directory? I ran MS update and installed service pack 2. I have installed ispfix, regprotect, spyware guard and spyblaster. I have run spybot, ad-aware and cwshredder...all with negative results. Below is my new HJT log. Could someone check this for me, please? Thank you.

    Hi

Hi, the reason I say to delete everything in the temp folder is because temp files are just that ... temp.
They are mainly used by programs when they are installing, once installed, they are of no further use.
You should have nothing running from a temp folder, but malware often does run from a temp folder.
Why risk leaving something accidenally in the temp folder, best to delete everthing (including sub-folders) inside the temp folder.

Disconnect from the internet Close ALL browser windows (including this one) - run hijackthis and tick to fix (check the box next to) the list below.........when all are ticked (checked) click the Fix Checked button at the bottom. :-

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Not only does netspry appear to be gone but ads234 (which I did not know I had at first) also appears to be gone. I noticed this weekend that when going to homepage and others I was first being routed through an ads234 address. In fact both mozilla and IE started telling me "page cannot be found" for sites that I knew were up and running such as yours at help2go. This page not loading problem was first noticed after installing the MS service pack 2. Having read some other posts about sp2 on help2go I kinda wish I hadn't installed it...but I guess I'll live with it for now and await the upcoming updates. Anyway to bandaid, I configured my router to block all sites with ad234 or ads234 and this fixed the problem for the weekend...I could get to my sites again. Now thanks to Steamwhiz I notice my browser goes directly to the intended siteand is noticeably faster.

wsaupdater and sfpsvr were both in c:\Windows\System32 and c:\Windows\prefetch. hscr.exe was not present at this time.

Thank you so much. Donation on the way.
Could you please check my new HJT log hopefully one last time:

    Hi

You're very welcome ... and your log's clean

netspry and ads234 are the same problem... get rid of one and you get rid of the other...

Don't be too sorry you downloaded SP2, It closes many security loopholes and will undoubtably make your computer more secure ... unfortunately some people will have hiccups.

You allready have several good preventative programs installed....

Now do yourself a favour ... download and install these 3 programs :-

    1. SpywareBlaster: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
    2. removed as you allready have it...
    3. IE/Spyad: https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/resource.htm
    4. http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

#3 IE/Spyad will place over 5,000 known bad sites in your "restricted sites" list

#4 the hosts file, will similarly block known bad sites from loading on to your computer by using the hosts file.

Along with an anti-virus program and a firewall

These will go a long way toward helping to keep your computer clean and safe.
