8) Thanks mystery "guest" for showing me the code to use to center the song that I want to post..***Some Questions__Could it really be that simple?...Do I really need only one code to post the poem/song?... Will it work this time or will I be back to this forum asking for further assistance?...Did I make a mountain out of a molehill again? **My Statement_I will just remain calm,rest up from this internet session for a day or two and attempt to post "Say Won't You Say" for the sixth time...I mean who could ask for anything more?
See, the only problem is...some forums allow simple HTML like the one guest has posted above. <center> centered text goes here</center> is basic HTML to center text on a webpage. Unfortunately, like I said earlier forums like this don't allow even the simplest HTML. Now, it all will depend on the form you are using. You'll notice when you post a reply you'll see text that says "Message Body" and to the right of that some buttons that say "img" "url" and etc. Those are the bbcodes that the forum has installed and listed for users to use. There are hacks and modifications to forum software that uses "Center" bbcode. To see if it works you can copy guests post above but change <center> the song lyrics</center> to
the song lyrics
and see if it works in another forum.
I didn't realize you actually wanted it centered, I just thought you'd like it formatted a bit prettier. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
You could maybe just link to to the song from the forum you want to place it in. It didn't take long to put it into a web page. If you want to, you're welcome to save the page to disk and then upload it to somewhere it can be linked to. If you want the text centred it can be done.

8) Partie Honteuse_You were correct...I do want the song "formatted prettier" though I'm not exactly sure what "formatted" means....I want it to have a nicer text type...Italics..I also want it to be the right size.... Size7....I want line breaks etc.. To tell you the truth I'm beginning to think that for a beginner__I want too much....

It certainly would save me and everyone who has been nice enough to assist me with this outrageous "impossible dream" of mine a lot of time and trouble...Although I so wanted to actually accomplish posting a properly centered and beautiful looking song/poem myself....**Technical Talk_You made me laugh when you mentioned that I could save the page to a disk and then upload it somewhere that it could be linked to...I use webtv...There are no discs invovled and as for uploading__ that is just another thing that I do not know how to do...I really smiled with delight though when I clicked on the link and saw my song all decked out pretty__with more colorful letters and a more colorful background...I found myself grinning like a cheshire cat!...My problem was solved instantly when I saw that song in living color!...**My Plans_I want to first try to post the song (I'm hard headed and very stubborn) again myself...If that doesn't work than I'm going to have to throw in the towel,wave the white flag and give up on that idea...I can then feel free to take your advice and post a link to a web page with the song's lyrics...You have come up with a very cool and simple answer/solution to my very complicated question...Or was it a simple question with very complicated answers?...I'm not saying that the question that I asked was complicated for all of you computer experts but for a person such as myself who doesn't know the difference between HTML and BBCode it is very complicated for me to carry out...Thanks again for the ace in the whole...
