    Default Password safe

And now for something completely different. No blackmail involved.

The "password safe" program recommended by Osc looks great and I've tried it out but have one question.

I've saved the safe to my documents but it saves automatically as a .dat file. When I double click on it to re-open the safe I'm warned that it could be harmful to open a .dat file and also that the computer can't find a program to open it with.

Hopefully a simple question - how do I re-open the safe to retrieve my passwords?

One for you I think, Osc.......

As ever, many thanks to all the Python fans out there for all the input.

I promised myself I must learn more about computers than I know now (which isn't much) but I'm just so damn busy............one day maybe.

    Cheers.

    Hi!

You should find the pwsafe.exe file that you initially used to launch the program. Run that file, and it will automatically use the .DAT file you created and it will ask you for your password.

Thanks Oscar. All OK now. Passwords all safe.

Thanks again for clearing that up.
