    Default Camcorder PC problems

I have Win XP and a Panasonic camcorder. As I hook up the camcorder thru USB port the PC recognizes it but when I look in My Computer it does not show the camcorder. In the Device manager there is no problems shown. Why can I not see it?

Check the documentation that came with the camcorder and be sure to follow procedures. You may try a different usb port, I've had card readers that would read in one port but not another. Charlie

    Disconnect the camcorder.
Install the drivers and any software
    Connect the camcorder.
Most USB devices should NOT be connected when installing drivers.
