k..here goes again. I have run all programs that your site suggests...on my computer and another one I have. Both have the same problem....both have it after downloading and installing something called Bulletproof. I have removed Bulletproof as I discovered later it is probably spyware. Could this be the problem?

    P.S. THANK YOU

    HI sammie2

one thing i can see is that yoiu are running AVG, and Norton, running 2 Resident Antivirus programs on your PC is Not a good idea can and prob will cause conflicts.

Would be best to remove 1 of them, also it will slow down your PC running 2 Antiivirus programs, yes you can disable 1, but the best thing to do is remove 1.

What you do is up to you , if you do remove 1 if you remove Norton first go to symantec site for removal instructions as removing Norton from ADD/REMOVE programs does not always uninstall ALL of Norton

    Regards Stoney

You have Norton system-works with Firewall ect, so if you remove Norton and keep AVG7 you will need Firewall would recommend ZoneAlarm free, or you could of course if you wish remove AVG.

    ZoneAlarm download Firewall
    http://www.zonelabs.com/store/conten...ku_list_za.jsp

It is up to you if you keep both but can cause you no end of probs

    Regards Stoney

    Thanks stoney

I'll probably take out the Norton because I really like AVG. I will let you know if it helps...I'm a little frustrated with this "link" thing

    Thanks again

I removed Norton with no trouble...it hasn't helped my problem with not being able to click on certain links....Looks like the ones I cannot click are something about Java shortcut?? I know nothing about Java so if this is my problem I'm grateful for any help. You guys do a great service...

    Thanks!

Try downloading Sun Java from this sight
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

About half way down the page you will see link for J2SEv1.4.2_06 JRE
Click on that, that will install the latest version of Java
