    Default book disk failure

    someone please help me. i bought a computer with linspire/linux operating system
    i change my bios setting to first second and third option of book from cd rom because i have windows 98 in the cd rom drive. i keep getting a disk boot failure error and press enter but nothing happens someone pleease help

    You cannot run Win98 from a CD. It must be installed in it's own partition

    Are you wanting to delete Linux and install Windows or have both? If you are getting rid of linux, reformat drive to fat 32, then it should boot from cd and install.

    yes i dont want linix anymore. how do i reformat to fat 32?

    Have a look at this article

    You may not need the bootable floppy if you get the same option to boot without cd support when starting from CD drive. If you decide you need the floppy, you will need to set BIOS to boot from floppy first. You will need to delete non DOS partitions (this is where Linux is). After deleting existing partitions you can format to FAT32, boot from the CD and install windows 98.
