Default How to change Outlook Express from being default E Mail

:?: I received the following request from my mother-in-law. I don't use Outlook Express and would appreciate any help you all can give me. Thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
p.s She is running XP sp2

Okay, I made a mistake I think. When I set up my email account I put it on
Microsoft outlook, and that was what I got as a default, so when I pressed
the mail button on my keyboard it came up right away.
I think I must have clicked on Outlook Express (on the desktop) and it came
up and said did I want to make this my default and I said yes. Now when I
press the mail button, or click on the mail icon on my browser, I get
Outlook express. I don't use that, so I have to go back to the desktop and
click on microsoft outlook to get the mail. Can I change the default? and
if so, how? I have tried to find a simple way but so far I can't and I
don't want to get it any more screwed up.

Which e-mail program are you using (or want to use)? There is usually an option in programs that offer to be default programs.

Right, there was an option when she clicked on OE in error. She then clicked on "Make this your default" E Mail before realizing that it was Outlook Expresss, not the OutLook, which she wants. I am sure there is a place to change that choice. Does anyone know how to do that?
