    Default cookies as record

History and Files show cookies which I know nothing about. How accurate are History and Files in showing the sites I have visited?

Depending on your security settings, it is possible to pick up a third party cookie from a site you did not visit. Charlie

History and Files are accurate in keeping records of the sites you visit. As Grim32 also suggests, if you allow 3rd party cookies you can get cookies from sites you don't visit. Check your settings (Tools>Internet Options>Privacy tab>Advanced> and make your selections).

You can click on Help>Contents and Index>Search Tab> type in cookies and read the various articles on the subject.

    Hope this helps.
