    Default Display Properties

When I am on the desktop and right click and then click on properties I get Display Properties. When I then click on 'Desktop' my current wallpaper is not shown and when I try to change it 'Display Properties' freezes up on my desktop and I cannot remove it without doing a restart.

Do you know the name of your currant wallpaper or where it's stored? If so, go there and move it to a different file, you can put it back in the same file if this doesn't work. Hopefully this will make the program revert to default.

Thank you. I have tried that but have the same problem with the next wallpaper. What I have failed to mention is that each time it happens I get a pop up headed 'Dr Watson Postmortem - Run a dll as an app has encountered a problem'

    Any ideas.

Sounds like you may have installed a wallpaper application and maybe uninstalled it. That program may have left bits and pieces.
