    Default constant error messages and shut down problems

    i am constantly getting error messages with win xp pro ser pk 2 the error notification sends it to microsoft but rarely sends any thing back my virus scan comes up clean [norton] and my spyware says i am clean [windows anti spyware ] can any body help on this also it takes
    an age to shut down the computer some times you cant even shut it down i get a lot of programme not respondning messages i have just got a new hard drive 1 month old and reformatted and re launched all my software on to it constant chkdsk scans on my h/drive but still the same probs mostly my daughter has these when she logs on [5 people use the computer]all with different accounts i admin it so no one else can mess it up :?: :?: :?: :?: if i had sny hair i would tear it out your very p###ed

    looks like something is using a TON of yoru memory..

    Also, next time you get that error message, click the "details" text (it's in blue) and copy/paste those details into a new post (reply not a new topic) so we can get a better idea of what's causing the problem.

    how do i find out what is using all that memory??????? i posted a log file further up the baord if that would help

    Does your daughter download from P2P sites? You might have picked a nasty up from P2P or somewhere else. You could go here -

    i have done a full system scan no spy ware no virus any where what could be using so much memory?????????????

    At the very least go to article 217 link above, scroll down and carry out the HijackThis procedure and post a Log at the end of this thread and somebody will give it the once over. Regards.
