    Default Uninstalling SP2

Ok my wife installed service pack 2 on accident and Im trying to get rid of it. Last time I had it installed it showed up in my add/remove programs but I dont see it there now. Is there another way besides restoring to a previous point to get rid of this? Thanks in advance!

Hi, take a look at links below and see option 2. REMOVE SP2 MANUALLY.

    Use the hidden $NtServicePackUninstall$ folder
    1. Click Start, click Run, type c:\windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst\spuninst.exe in the Open box, and then click OK.
    2. When the Windows XP Service Pack 2 Removal Wizard starts, click Next.
    3. Follow the instructions on the screen to remove Windows XP SP2.

that came from the MSKB article that Stoney posted, it is a hidden file so first open My Computer then click "tools" then "folder options". After click the "view" tab and then click "Show Hidden files and Folders" and then scroll down and UNcheck "Hide protected operating system files and folders (recommended)" then click "apply" then "Ok"
