    is it true limewire is starting ot sue people for useing it?

    News to me, I use it. Can't see them suing for using a program they offer free, doesn't make sense. What does make sense is that the record industry are probably trying to sue them to shut them down. There is a free and paid version, there is an updated version just out 4.8.1 .. it doesn't look like they're running scared and certainly no reference to any suing on site.     I thought the problem was not using the program persay but what it was used for.

    It depends where you live and what the laws dictate. Here in Canada we pay an additional tax on all recording devices (cd r/w, tape recorders etc) and material (CD's, cassettes etc.) This money is supposedly given to the music industry in lieu of them losing royalties, so to all intents and puropses we are allowed to download from the P2P's. Other countries don't have any regulations (this is probably the majority of the world).
