    Default New PC Keeps Resetting

    Well my old PC really messed up. So i got a new PC.

    Im positive it isnt spyware problems as today is the first day its been on. Help me please.

    its ok. well... hmmm.... does anything come up on screen when u powert on your computer like detecting IDE drives or somethimg like that?

    Nope, its just a normal/straight forward reboot.

    um... does the computer come to the welcome screen on windows then restarts?

    Nope. The PC stays active for about 5 minutes or so and then boom it resets itself.

    hmmm.... im sry im really a guest here but i do know somewhat about computers myslef but just wait untill one of the other guys come around ok! plus im trying to get rid of a virus right now

    If you do a quick google search for the virus that got found, one of the sites will tell you how to remove it. I helped an Estonian friend do this virus he had.

    Have you tried booting up into safe mode? As the pc starts booting up keep tapping the f8 key, a window should open, using the arrow keys select Safe Mode>Enter. If you can get into Win XP that way, get back and let us know.
