    Default graphics cards

    installed medal of honour on my dell dimension 2400. but when i went to play the game i was told my card did not support direct x 9.0. do i need to buy a new graphics card just to play this game? whats a good cheap graphics card that will support direct x 9.0

    You don't actually say what your card is. Please list your system detail so we can make a better judgement.

    First, go to Windows Update and choose the "Custom Install" option. Check the available updates and see if DirectX 9.0c is there. If it is, download it. I belive you have to download this separately to other updates.

    If your card does not support DirectX 9.0 you will have to buy a new one. We will definitely need more details to recomend a suitable card. You might want to consider going for a more middle end card than a cheep one if you do a lot of gaming, especially online.

    Try to give us an idea of your budget also. Generally speaking however, most cards from the Geforce FX 5200 and the ATI 9200 upwards are all Diretx 9.0 compatible.
