XP Automatic Update problem
When I attempt to install the downloaded updates, nothing happens. It says initializing installer but never advances past that. BITS is started and nothing on Microsoft's web site seems to help.
I am running XP sp2 on a Dell Deminsion 4700. Any ideas?

I've scanned using Microsoft's new AntiSpyware software. I'm not on 56k but I'm a little slower than DSL. The updates are downloading fine, it just won't install them. Thanks.

What updates? any Seervice packs? If SP1, i had to wait to download and install but the install part takes long at one point!

The critical updates that Microsoft sends out frequently. It was working fine last fall when it updated to SP2 but, it will not install any of the updates now.
