    Default can't ENABLE popups

My son has an older computer (Pionex) it is running Windows 98. All of a sudden he is unable to play games that require a pop-up window. You can hear the click (like it is trying to open the window) and then nothing!
Any ideas on what could cause this??
Thank you so much for any and all help!

If your son has the google toolbar installed then click where it says "xx blocked" (the xx being a number). If not its gonna be some sort of program that was installed to prevent pop ups.

Hello. Thank you for your advice. I'm not exactly sure what it was but it's fixed -- I went into System tools, System info., Tools, Internet Explorer repair tool and it fixed it!
After monkeying with the dumb thing all day -- I now remember why I got a new one!!!!!!
    Thanks again.

Glad to hear you got it sorted out. Just FYI for future reference, holding in the CTRL key while clicking on links will bypass the pop up blocker in most cases. HTH
