    Default sound problems

I have internet explorer 6.0 and my sound is not working right. I don't get that click sound you get when you click on a link and I cannot hear sounds from voice chat in yahoo chat rooms. My sound seems to be fine in all other areas. If anyone can help that would be awesome.

I have XP home so I'm not sure if it will work the same for 98 but it may be worth a try. Click start, open the control panel, open sounds, speech, and audio devices, click on change the sound scheme, choose the sounds tab,in the program events box scroll down to Windows Explorer, sub catagory-start navigation, click on it and the drop down menu titled-sounds will open, click on the down arrow, make sure none is not chosen, choose the sound you want, on mine the click is windows start, but you can experiment and see which sound you prefer, click on apply. Hope this works for you. Littlemike

Go to www.maninoz.com ( one of my sites)
There is a turorial on setting up sound on a windows system.
The article is mainly aimed at Paltalk users but applies to most other situations.
