    Default doggy ip address,

    Hi,
    when i got to my favourite web site what is about xbox ps2 gamecube,
    games i notice that this ip address keeps hitting me on port 80 all the time, on this web site they has been complains about spammers trying
    to subscribe gests too dogus selling stuff on there.
    my firewall tells me that this address is (38.116.157.132) and keep saying itis ESL LICENSE MANGER and IBM INFROMATION and PACER FORUM,
    i have McAfee firewall what has trackering capabilaties call whoss,or
    something i dont let cookies on my p.c so it camt by spywear ,
    i ues spybot/ad-aware se parsonal whitch is up to date.
    and avg free 7.virus scanning softwear whitch is up too date also.
    This web site i goto is not a dogus site.

    i have a snapshot of my firewall with that ip address on it but i cant,
    get to post it on here.
    can some one give me so info on how to do this. :cry:

    it points to photobucket.com More than likely what's happening is you're going to this gaming site forum/message board and someone is linking to an image stored on their server(s). Of course, port 80 being the default http port (web server listening port) hence why you get it on port 80.

    When you go to the gaming site forum/message board, if you get any red x's or broken image links when getting the message about the IP address, mroe than likely that's where the image is coming from and why you can't see it.

    Thanks for the help and info. I suspected it was spammers or fraudsters up to no good as i have had this problem before and it brought my internet connection to a standstill. I have been hit by unknown address' on Ebay before.

    My computer does not hold any bank of finance details so these people will not find much.
