    Default Virtual Memory Low?

Hi! I'm new here. I was surfing to see why I keep getting the message, "Your virutal memory is low" and I came to this website and it seems really cool. Can someone tell me why I keep getting this message when everything else seems alright with my laptop? Thanks!

The most common cause is the lack of free space on the hard drive. Windows will always use virtual memory. By default the size of the Page file (in XP) or Swap File (Win95-ME) is based on the % of free hard disk space. Virtual memory should be around 2.5 times the size of physical memory. Once the free space is less that 10 times that amount you will have problems.
If you have more than one drive you can move this page/Swap file to the drive with the most available space. Some people spread the file over two or more drives, some even create a seperate partition just for the swap file.
Bottom line is you probably need a bigger drive or get rid of some stuff.
Take control of your life. Leave others to control their own.
