    Default shut down problems

I've got a problem shutting down my computer. If it's been on for very long it takes awhile for the shut down box to come up and also for windows to to shut down. If the computer has been on for just a few minutes the shut down box comes right up. It makes no difference if I empty the temp. folders and cookies or not. Anybody have a clue? Thanks in advance.

    Default shut down problems

I've installed a printer recently but the shut down problem started after I discovered and removed a virus and some spyware.
