    Hi tamvilla,

I've read your post http://www.help2go.com/postt14668.html in Spyware Help forum. As Steam mentioned, he doubted that the deleted AOL file has anything to do with your problem. It seems that this is an AOL problem, so perhaps if you uninstalled AOL and then reinstalled and check your settings this may correct the problem. We find AOL to have a number of bugs and suggest that you would be best served by not using it; it is of course your choice. If you choose to continue to use it, may I suggest you contact an AOL help line as this site has very few members who are conversant with AOL.

I don't know what IP servers you have in North Carolina, however a good bet is to go to / phone either a computer store or better yet a college (students like good deals, so may know of freebies) tech shop. I'm sure you'll get no end of advice from them. Local people also know which IPs are giving the problem connections and which ones give good service.

For years I have used both Netzero and Juno (same company) they both offer 10 hours free per month. They seem to have service available just about every where in the US.

Of course their "free" is loaded with ads/pop ups. Their basic service is $9.95 a month for unlimited service dial up.
