Default Track titles in WMP wrong

Windows Media Player shows the wrong song title most of the time. For example, it will show that "Green Green Grass of Home" is being sung by Elton John, when in fact, he's singing "This Is Your Song". Other times, both title and artist are wrong.......sometimes both are right. What's goin' on?

Hallo Shadrack - I don't know what is causing your problem but you can edit the details by - Right Click the song/singer you want to change. Left Click 'Edit'. You can then use the 'Tab' key to move across and make any changes you need. Regards,

The error is probably in the actual audio file. Find the Green green grass of home file and rt click>Properties> The opening window (General Tab)should show something like figure 1. After you edit the Name and Title on the General Tab, click on the Summary Tab. If it opens as in Figure 2, click on Advanced. In the advanced window make sure the Artist's name and the Title are the same as on the General Tab. At this point you can also type in the genre and other information if you wish. After you click OK, double click on the file and Media player should open and show you it playing with the correct name and title. Hope this helps.
